Off to New Zealand

Well I am off to New Zealand for Craft and Quilt Show, so this will be my last post until I get back, I can't wait I am very exciting.

Cathy from Scrapgenie was in Gladstone, she was passing through on the way back home it was so lovely to actually get to spend sometime with her without worrying about catching the plane home or should I say missing the plane, everytime Lauren and I are together we always are rushing for planes LOL !! one day we will actually be on time.

I did an online crop on the weekend at Scrap Therapy, I had so much fun, I don't normally have the time to do this, but I made time, Mike was working all weekend, so when the kids were in bed, I got online with all the girls at Scrap Therapy, and I had a ball. There were 4 Challenges to do, but I only got 3 done, so here they are.

My first Challenge was to follow a general sketch, so this was my offering, and with this layout, I actually used up some of my old papers We R Memory Keepers, and I also used some transparency as well, in the little frame, and ontop of the layout, I created 8 1/2 x 11 layout.

The Second layout was using flowers for spring, I did the layout on my mum, so I went all out and I love what I created, needless to say it is now hanging in my scraproom, with 3D flowers, gems and lots of rubons very dimensional.

And the Third thing was a little accordian Album, created from scratch, which was a heap of fun, I used Cherry Arte Papers, tags and rubons, with a few Kaiser Gems.

I also did a layout for Scrapbook City using Basic Grey Mellow Range, an adorable photo of Chaise, the little diecuts where so cute, and I created some trees to match, just super cute. Scrapbook City has the whole range of Basic Grey products, so you are sure to find something you like.

Well I would love see you in New Zealand so if you happen to be passing the Craft and Quilt Show please come and say hi, until I get home have a wonderful couple of weeks.

All the very best.

Just a Cute Little Freebie

Well this is my first little freebie.

It is my "Little Tiny Gift Bag" and yes it is only tiny, but it is very cute, and a special little something for anyone.

Just print out the template and cut out around the black full lines.

Then you fold on the dotted lines using a scorer if it makes it easier, and use double sided tape to stick the bag together. The handle for the little bag was made with a middle size flower punch, but you could use a circle punch or cut out the flower by hand.

Then you can dress the bag up with left over pattern papers, stickers and flowers . I used some leftover Fancy Pants pattern papers and some cute little embellishments and gems and some kindy Glitz. My daughter just loved it and now she is planning on making some tonight for her friends. I really hope you enjoy making this little bag, and remember to share, I would love to see what you create.

Something Special Happening

I have been getting emails and phone calls inregards to when I will be creating my next kit. I promise it is very, very soon, and I will be introducing something new as well, so just keep checking back and I promise I will have something happening not to far away.

I will also be giving a few templates ideas away on my blog, I will try and make this an on going thing, this means I will create a small BTP design etc., (Just a little something) for you to have a go at.

I have been having a lot of interest in my display stand with the Craft and Quilt Show, so I have decided to show some of my items here every few days or so, so my first one is my Bo Bunny Raspberry Cottage, I used the Raspberry Pie Range of products form Bo Bunny, which are adorable, this little cottage looks so different IRL, I have created a scalloped roof, and hole punched the sides of the roof and embellished, with flower etc., and 3D some Stickers.

My next trip is to New Zealand on the 16th September, which is not too far away, so I am really looking forward to it, especially because my family is coming with me as well, so we should have a fabulous time, I will be holding a class again before the show.

I have also been doing a couple of layouts for Scrap Therapy, the lovely Natalie, owner of Scrap Therapy is really helpful, so if you are looking for some products, just go and check them out. The layout I am sharing with you now is one of them.

I used Tres Jolie Range of products and some Fancy Pants Rubons, and the embellishments are Karen Foster Design to create this layout, I just love this photo of Chaise sleeping he is so very cute.

Also my really wonderful friends Sandra Gerdes and Rachelle Minett, have some great kits for sale on their blogs, so go and check them out, you will love them.

Well that is about it for me, so I hope you all have a great weekend.
